Hi, on my old server, we had a mailing system and I was wondering if it was possible to get it here cause I find it very useful in selling and trading stuff when the person is offline and you need to ask them something instead of PMing them constantly.
Well, on my old server, you would type:
@sendmail <name> <message>
And then when the person logged in, there would be a message saying:
You have 1 unread message.
And then you would type:
@readmail 1
And then the message that the other person mailed you would pop up in chat window. Then you can PM them and then all your selling and trading would be very easy and very effecient.
I welcome all opinions, esspecially criticism, but please don't make stupid ones.

Seems like a great idea but it seems like it could be abused.
Example:Someone hates you in RO. They spam a ton of messages to you, just to tick you off. A few hours pass, you log on the next day and you would probably have something like this:
You have 4234 unread messages.
Probably a way to fix this:
->displaying the name of the player(s) who msged you so you get to choose the messages you wanted open
->create a rule against message spam
But, overall, this is a fantastic idea to contact people when they are offline rather then using the forums.

Hee...We had something alike in my last server.
But, it was a Deviruchi NPC standing next to every city's Kafra. It was quite useful, specially for item trades.

I like the idea. People can send me thier loveing praise when Im offline...Orrrrrr yell at me for forgetting somthing important....

Nice idea indeed as well it could be used in different ways, good and bad. Maybe it should be limited to on the every hour or so to stop the spam from hate mail as it were. Overall nice idea but just gotta beware of the consequences :)

It's actually already equipped and compiled in eAthena SQL. It's just a matter of enabling it. I'm sure if the GMs wanted to, they would've had this feature in a looonnnnggg time ago. And I would actually prefer this feature to be added. This thread has my support.

make it like max 3 letters to one person everyday or something.
